We only have one day—24 hours. From midnight to 11:59 MT on November 27—Giving Cougsday—alumni and friends of BYU will come together to see how much we can give to support BYU within a 24-hour period. Last year, more than 1,500 generous BYU cougs came together and gave more than $250,000.
This year, we need you to donate and tell everyone you know. Mark your calendar, put an alert on your phone, follow BYU Annual Giving on Facebook and Instagram, and spread the word. Let’s make Giving Cougsday the biggest day of giving in the history of BYU.
Inspiring Learning, Making an Impact
Last year, BYU used Giving Cougsday funds for scholarships and mentored-learning experiences along with contributions to colleges, departments, and other BYU initiatives.
Last year there were 1,576 people who donated $257,767 that helped students receive the following:
- study-abroad experiences
- student-led research projects
What is Giving Cougsday?
Entering its third year, Giving Cougsday gives alums, fans, and friends of BYU a chance to donate to the university they love, and bless the university's students with their generosity. This year we hope to surpass the number of people who gave - to top last year’s total! Join our efforts to make BYU better than ever. Then, remember to spread the word to friends and family on social media! Follow our BYU Annual Giving Facebook and Instagram pages for updates.
President Kevin J Worthen told faculty and staff, “I hope we inspire our students to learn. And I hope that learning leads to inspiration. When both things happen, inspiring learning occurs, and we can then know we are on the right track to achieve the core goals set forth in our mission statement.” Inspire learning within your college this GivingCougsday.Donate to Your College
